Washington, DC - Today, Ward 2 Councilmember Brooke Pinto announced she will be running for re-election to serve as the Ward 2 Councilmember for another four year term.

“I entered office in 2020 with the goal of returning ethical, responsive leadership to the Ward 2 DC Council office. Three years later, I am proud to say that Ward 2 residents can once again depend on a representative who is laser-focused on addressing the pressing issues facing them everyday and committed to pragmatic problem solving,” said Brooke Pinto.

“I’m running for re-election to continue delivering results for Ward 2 residents - to address the urgent needs of constituents and fight for common sense measures to improve public safety for our whole city.”

Brooke Pinto has served on the DC Council since 2020, when she became the youngest person ever elected to the DC Council and the first woman to represent Ward 2. In her time in office, Brooke has focused on addressing public safety, promoting Downtown recovery, and reducing homelessness. She currently serves as the Chairwoman of the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety where she is focused on preventing and responding to crime and violence in the District.

Brooke Pinto will be running as a Fair Elections candidate.
